1. Calcareous Shell: It is shell mainly composed of calcium carbonate.

2. Non-cleidoic Egg:  Non-cleidoic eggs are laid in water, not protected by shells and without sufficient nutritive material for the complete development of the embryo. Generally, a non-cleidoic egg hatches into a larva.
