Expert Answer
Though ports and harbor serve similar purposes there are differences between the two. Ports are mainly used for commercial purposes along the coastline and are used for export and import of goods. Harbour may be natural or man-made connecting a piece of land with a large water body. Harbours mainly provide safe anchorage to ships during bad weather.
