To find the value of 16-3/4
We are going to use the property of exponents i.e. (am)n = amn
16-3/4 = (24)-3/4 = 24x-3/4 = 2-3     .... Because 4 x -3/4 = -3
Therefore, 16-3/4 = 2-3 = 1/23 = 1/8     ... Using the property a-m = 1/am and we know that 23 = 8
Hence, 16-3/4 = 1/8
