A spherical mirror is that mirror whose reflecting surface is a part of a hollow sphere of glass. Its reflecting surface is curved inwards or outwards.

An inverted image means that the image is upside down when compared to the object.

An image in which directions are the same as those in the object, in contrast to an inverted image is called an erect image. It is the one that appears right-side up.
