# Ten cells each of EMF 2V & internal resistance 0.01 ohm are joined in series to produce a supply of 10 ohm.What are the current and voltage across the external resistance ?

In series, the emfs add together, so combined emf = 20 volts
Total resistance in the circuit = 0.01 * 10 + 10 = 10.1 ohms

Current across external resistance = 20/10.1 ampere

voltage across external resistance = 20/10.1 * 10 volt
