integral from a to be is positive and then from b to a will be negative.it can be proved from the concept of limit as a sum ,in limit as a be devide the length (b-a) in n intervals so each interval length willl be              h=(b-a)/n   but in case of summing from b to a length will be (a-b)/n which will negative with respect to previous so a negative sign will appear.
