What will be the steps and the final product ? It would be helpful if an explanation is also added in context to the final product.

Chemical reation are of two types - a) Elementary reaction - a single stage transformation of reactant to product via transition state.
 
b) Multi step reaction - Reaction in which reactants undergoes various steps via reactive species to finally form product, these steps may include fast and slow of very slow steps.
 
Example -  mechanism for formation of Br2 include following steps - follow image attached -
