Kerala - XI Science - Maths - Sequences and Series

In an A.P if mth term is n and nth term is m,where m =!(not equal to) n,find the pth term.
I substituted for An=a+(n-1)d. (ie Am=a+(m-1)d and An=a+(n-1)d) I don't understand the rest.
Please explain the steps.
