In an adiabatic free expansion,the value of dS is positive.

Entropy is always associated with the heat form of energy transfer.

The entropy of an object or system can increase or decrease, associated with thermal energy being transferred into or out of an object or system.

The entropy of the universe as a whole can never decrease.

For irreversible process entropy of system increases.
