A uniform rope of mass 2kg which can tolerate max tension 80N at any pt ,find max value of F which can be applied on 2kg block.

Answer:
Let us assume that acceleration due to gravity g = 10 m/s2 
 
As given in figure, Tension in the rope is due to the weight of block, weight of the rope and due to the applied force.
 
weight of the block+weight of the rope = W = (2+2)×10 = 40 N
 
since Maximum Tension is 80 N, (that will be experienced by top most part of rope), Additional force can be 40 N
