(a) Force on the man in the upward direction = mass of the man x acc. of the lift in the upward direction = 70 x10= 700 N
(b) downwards with a uniform acceleration of 5m/s
force by the mass of the man in the downward direction = 70 x 5 = 350 N
(c)upwards with a uniform acceleration of 5 m/s
Force on the man in the upward direction = mass of the man x acc. of the lift in the upward direction = R = m(g+a)= 70 x(10+5)  = 1050 N
