When a body slides down from rest along a smooth inclined plane of angle 45degree with horizontal , it takes T time. When same body slides down a rough inclined plane making same angle & through same distance, It is seens to be taken pT, where p is some number greater than 1. Calculate the coefficient of friction between body and rough plane.

A ball rolls off the edge of a 1.0m high table with a speed of 4.0m/s.How far horizontally from the edge of the table does the ball strike the floor?

From the top of a cliff a ball is projected with a velocity of 24 m/s in a horizontal direction. At this instant a car at rest at a location 90m from the clif accelerates from rest at a constant acceleration of 4.0m/s^(2) toward the cliff.the ball hits the car.

A stone is stopped from a height 'h' ,it hits the ground with a certain momentum p.If the samestoneis dropped from a height 100% more than the previous height, the momentum when it hits the groun will change by ............?

So when the body moves up, acceleration= -g and the graph looks like what was drawn before for a decelerating body. Then when the body is moving downwards, acceleration= +g , now why does this graph have a curve similar to a decelerating body? Shouldn't the curve of this graph be in the opposite direction? How can I insert images here? It will be much easier to explain the question if I can upload images.

So if the shape is similar to that seen in an upwardly projected body doesn't it mean that the body is decelerating as it moves up and then continues to decelerate as it reaches maximum height and come back down? When a body is projected vertically upwards it is undergoing negative acceleration, right? After reaching maximum height when the object starts moving down is it still undergoing negative acceleration? Please explain.

If you draw the (s-t) graph of a decelerating body what will it look like?
Kerala - XI Science - Physics - Motion in a Plane
In an displacement time graph doesn't the kind of curve shown above mean deceleration? So should the graph mean that when a body is projected vertically upwards the body is decelerating till it reach maximum height and the it is again decelerating downwards? How is this possible? when the body comes down from maximum height shouldn't the body be "accelerating" (because of the gravitational pull of the sun)? In the graph why does it look as if the body is decelerating?
