CCl3CHO is a trichloroacetaldehyde, it has 3 electron withdrawing chlorine atoms attached adjecent to Carbonyl group which makes the carbonyl carbon more reactive then carbonyl carbon in formaldehyde. 
 
The order of reactivity of Carbonyl group towards nucleophilic addition is:
 
                              CCl3CHO       >               HCHO               >        CH3CHO        >            CH3COCH3
Reason:       Electron withdrawing          No stric hindrance            Electron donating            Electron donating two
                   Group is attached           No electron donating gr        -CH3 gr is attached        -CH3 gr is attached
