Engineering is an applied science course of 4 years in which you can chose a field like computer science, information technology, civil, mechanical, instrumentation etc.
The ideal way of getting an admission for such a course in a good college is to gain good score in IIT JEE, state common entrance test or an institute level test after appearing for your class 12 board exams.
All such courses have a very bright scope, but what is most important is that you should have an interest over the chosen field, the zeal to work hard in that field and bring upon a valuable addition to that industry.
Otherwise, the competetion in this sector will make your career struggle.
Most of the engineers face unemployment because they are unemployable.
So wishing you all the best for your future, learn regularly - achieve brilliantly.
