what is the substance present in china rose so that it is an acid base indicator. name the substance in it ? can we use that substance in other materials to make them also an acid base indicator?

An indicator is usually a weak acid or a weak base which changes colour in acidic or basic solutions.

The pigment anthocyanin present in the china rose flower makes its solution an indicator.

 Anthocyanins can be used as indicators.

But not all other materials can be made into indicators using the pigment.
