Nitrogen cycle:
The circulation of nitrogen in nature, through a series of chemical reactions in which nitrogen from the atmosphere is fixed into usable nitrogenous compounds in soil or water, assimilation by plants and animals and its subsequent release into the soil and water through decomposition form where it is returned back to the atmosphere through a series of reactions.
