A thorough ash test can help to determine what percentage of a particular sample involves filler content.
Ash analysis is done using a furnace or oven at a fixed temperature, requiring initial sample and crucible weighing, burning the sample in the furnace, cooling crucibles, and weighing again in a precision balance for final weight and calculation.
