Answer:
virtual image is the one which can never be formed on screen.when light rays do not actually meet , appear to meet or come from after reflection or refraction, then virtual image is formed.
like the image formed in plane mirror is virtual image.
it appears that the image is behind the mirror ie, light rays ap[pear to come from behind.
