where εo is permitivity of free space, A is area of plates of condenser and x is separation distance between plates.
K is constant that equals to εoA.
 
if we differentiate eqn.(1), begin mathsize 12px style fraction numerator d C over denominator d t end fraction space equals space minus K 1 over x squared fraction numerator d x over denominator d t end fraction space equals space minus K v over x squared end style
Hence rate of change of capacitance is directly proportional to velocity of movement of plates and
inversly proportional to square of separation distance d at that instant
