Answer:
The given circuit (fig.a) in the question is redrawn as fig. (b) by replacing the equivalent resistance for resistor combinations.
 
( Left side of circuit (fig.a) :- two 4Ω connected in parallel gives 2Ω. This 2Ω and another 2Ω are in series. hence net equivalent resistance is 4Ω)
 
(Right side of circuit (fig.b) :- three 3Ω resistance in parallel which is equivalent to 1Ω )

current in the circuit = (13-6)/(1+4+2)  = 1 A .
 
Let VX and VA be the potential at X and A respectively.  Then VX - VA = -6-(4×1) = -10 V. Hence VX = -10 V because VA = 0 V( earth)
