We request you to kindly study the entire History syllabus because questions can be asked from any chapter. We advise you to solve past years papers. Usually, certain questions are repeatedly asked every second or third year.
However, some important topics are the reasons behind the rise of Magadha, rules of 'gotra', architectural styles of the Buddhist stupas, role of the zamindars and 'jati' panchayats in Mughal India, travelling accounts of Biruni, Ibn Batutta and Francois Bernier, Gandhi and the Indian national movement, urbanisation in the Indian cities, revenue policies in the Bombay Deccan, the images of the revot of 1857 and the framing of the Indian Constitution.
Please prepare the chapter on the Indus Valley Civilisation thoroughly. Every year questions are generally asked from this chapter. Carefully study last six years papers to understand the kind of questions that are asked in examinations.
