     Schottky defect is basically a vacancy defect in ionic solids.
 
     This is caused due to missing ions. The number of missing cations and anions are equal in order to maintain electrical neutrality.
 
 
50. Option (b) is correct. 
     Frenkel defect is due to the dislocation of a smaller ion from the normal site to interstitial site.
