Asexual reproduction is a method of reproduction in which new organisms are formed without the involvement of sex cells or gametes.

There are various methods of asexual reproduction which include binary fission, fragmentation, vegetative propagation, budding, multiple fission and spore formation.

In vegetative propagation, new plants arise from the vegetative parts of the plant such as stem, root and leaves.
