how much water is to be added to 50 ml of 5 N HCl to make it seminormal?

Semi normal solution 
A solution having a half concentration or containing half gram equivalent of substance dissolved in one liter of solution is a semi normal solution.
 
straight N subscript 1 straight V subscript 1 equals straight N subscript 2 straight V subscript 2
5 cross times 50 equals space 2.5 cross times straight V subscript 2
straight V subscript 2 space equals 100 space ml
 
So, to make a semi normal solution the total volume must be 100 ml.
Hence, we have to add 50 ml water.
