Limitations of the inscriptional evidences are:
a.It is not easy to decipher inscriptions which were written thousands of years ago. Some letters may be faintly engraved which makes it difficult to read them.
b.Inscriptional evidences cannot be taken at face value. It is because they only recorded the orders of the kings and rich priests.
c.It is not always easy to be sure about the exact meaning of the words used in inscriptions.
d.Not all have been deciphered, published and translated
e.Routine agricultural practices and the joys and sorrows of daily existence find no mention in inscriptions
