Points for agreeing

-       Motor skills of the students are improved through writing.

-       Writing skills are improved.

-       Language can also be improved through writing.

Points for disagreeing

-       Writing exams is a tedious process.

-       Students can get exhausted by writing continuously for 2-3 hours.

-       Fatigue can affect the critical thinking ability of the student.

-       There is no spontaneity involved.

-       The real extent of the student’s knowledge cannot be tested as they may have learnt by rote.

-       Some students may not benefit from written examinations if they are slow at execution. The faster students may get an undue advantage over them.
