Speed of sound v = square root of( B /ρ ) m/s , where B is bulk modulus and ρ is density of gas. Density depends on pressure and temperature. Relevanat equations are given below to calculate speed of sound at given temperature and pressure. ρ is density, p is pressure, T is temperature and R is universal gas constant. 0 subscript refers the property at 0º C.
case 1:- p = 60 cm of mercury and T = -3ºC = 270 K . speed of sound is given by
