A parallel beam of white light falls on convex lens. the other side of the lens at a distance of 20 cm, 20.5 cm and 21.4 cm respectively. The dispersive power of the material of the lens will be :-

when whilte light is passed through lens, violet colour is subjected to more deviation than red colour.
Hence when the parallel beam of white light falls on a convex lens in the question, violet colour focused at 20 cm. red color is focused at 21.4 cm.
In between green color is focused at 20.5.
 
from lens-makers formula we can write
f is focal length, μ is refractive index of material of lens, R1 and R2 are radii of curvature. K is constant
 
hence dispersive power = 20.5× [ (1/20) - (1/21.4) ] = 0.067
