A batsmen deviates a ball by an angle of 60* without changing its initial speed which  is equal to 108 km/h . Find the impulse imparted to the ball. [ mass of ball = 100 g]

Answer:
impulse = change in momentum;
initial momentum = mass × velocity = 0.1 kg × 108 km/hr ×1000 m/km × (1hr/60s) = 180 kg m/s
momentum after hitting the bat = -108×cos(60°) = -180×0.5 = -90 kg m/s
change in momentum = impulse = 180-(-90) = 270 m/s
