quantity of Rain water collection is proportional to speed of rain water falling.
Let R is the quantity of rain water colloected when rain is falling with speed v m/s and wind speed is u m/s
resultant speed of rain water falling with respect to wind speed is given by
Then quantity of water collected is given by
where k is constant of proportionality. we can write k as
resultant speed of rain water when rain water is falling with speed v m/s and wind speed is 2u m/s is given by
then quantity of rain water collected now is given by
