Given,pulley is smooth and string is light.One side of pulley has a mass of 50kg and other side has a box inside which there is a man standing on a weighing machine (mass of box+weighing machine=100kg) and mass of man=50kg.what is the reading of weighing machine?

Let W be the weight of man (50×g) and Fms be the force acting on man by weighing machine
 
By Newton's law, we have,  W - Fms = m × a ; hence Fms  = W - m×a = 50×9.8 - 50×4.9 = 245  N
 
Hence the weighing machine reading is 245 Newton or 25 kgf
