When Na2CO3.H2O is added to dillute H2SO4, simple displacement reaction occurs resulting in the formation of a neutral salt and evolution of CO2 gas; observed by the formation of effervescence.
 
Na2CO3.H2O + H2SO4 Na2SO4 + CO2 + H2O  {pH of the solution after evolution of CO2 (weak acididc behaviour) gas is around 7 that is neutral}
