Hello Prathna,
There is no alternative to reading all the novels prescribed by your school. Therefore, if you have not read your novels yet, please do, because when you have read the novel yourself, you are prepared to answer any kind of question asked in the exam.
You should solve past year question papers to improve your time management and get familiar with the questions. Go in the chronological order and don't skip questions as you might forget to attempt them later.
Other subjects are no doubt important, but teachers have thought well to include novels in your syllabus. Therefore, you must consider reading them.
Alternately, if you can find movie adaptations of the novels, you could watch those to get a fair idea about what the original text comprises.
