1. Changing Active to passive need not change simple past - right?
2. For example, "Veera ate the cake", can be changed to "The cake was eaten by Ira". Both are simple past, right? 
3. "Veera killed a mosquito" can be changed to passive still maintaining simple past  - "A mosquito was killed by Veera"?
