NEET 2021 Results

Share this:

As we're well aware, NEET will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from 2019 onwards. NTA has announced that the results will be released on 5th June 2019. The results will be given in the form of a marksheet.

The printed marksheet will have

  1. Name of the student
  2. Date of birth of the student
  3. Marks according to every subject
  4. Total percentile of marks
  5. All India Rank (AIR)
  6. All India Quota Rank and category rank

The minimum percentile for general category students is 50. The minimum percentile for SC/ST/OBC students is 40. If students get above the minimum percentile, only then will they be considered qualified for NEET 2019. The cutoff marks for admission to further courses related to NEET 2019 will be made only after the results of NEET 2019 are released.

Last year, 31,26,725 students appeared for NEET 2018, and approximately 7,14,562 students qualified. This year NTA has received more than 13 lakh registrations for NEET 2019, and there are about 90,000 seats in MBBS and BDS all over India. So, there is going to be a tough way getting through the exam.

To know your results:

  1. Go to the official NEET website.
  2. Enter your roll number and date of birth to log in.
  3. A soft copy of your score card will be displayed.
  4. Download the results by clicking on the print option and saving it.

The results copy is essential for further admissions in colleges. You must keep a copy of your score card.

What if the results of 2 students are the same?

There are four criteria after the results of 2 students are found to be the same:

  1. Biology marks:
If the results of 2 students are found to be the same, then the one with more marks in Biology gets preference in merit. If the Biology marks are the same, then the authority moves on to the next criterion, which is Chemistry marks.
  2. Chemistry marks:
If the Biology marks are the same, then the Chemistry marks are considered. The student with more Chemistry marks is given preference. If the Chemistry marks are also the same, then the authority goes on the next criterion, which is the total number of incorrect answers.
  3. Number of incorrect answers:
Students who have the same Biology and Chemistry marks are checked on the total number of incorrect answers. The student with lesser total number of incorrect answers is given preference of merit. If the total number of incorrect answers is the same, then the authority goes to the next criterion of age.
  4. Age:
If students have a tie in all the criteria mentioned, then the last criterion is age. The student senior in age is given preference in merit.
