  • In modern period problems such as struggle against racism, border disputes and terrorism have threatened human rights.
  • These are also threatened due to the spread of contagious diseases, environmental degradation and natural disasters.
  • Human rights today also include goals like protection of the environment and sustainable development.

  • The Human Rights Commission takes note of the complaints regarding the violation of the human rights and also take appropriate measures regarding such violations.
