Some of the points for collenchyma,
Characteristics
1.Cells are living and elongated with cell walls irregularly thickened at the corners.
2.The cell wall consists of a mixture of cellulose and pectin.
Location
1. Located in non-woody plants, leaf stalks, below the epidermis of stems and veins of leaves.
Function
1.Provides mechanical support and elasticity to young dicotyledonous plants.
2.Allows easy bending in various parts of plants without actually breaking them.
