Age Criteria: The applicant must be born on or after 1 October 1994. Please note that there is an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates. Candidates belonging to any of these categories must be born on or after 1 October 1989 to be considered eligible for JEE Advanced 2019.
Qualifying Exam: The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2019 require students to have appeared for and cleared the 10+2 exam in 2018 or 2019. Also, they must clear the JEE Main exam and meet the required cut off to appear for the JEE Advanced exam.
Number of Attempts: Candidates can answer the exam twice (two consecutive exams).
IIT Admission: This is an important clause in JEE Advanced eligibility criteria. Candidates who had earlier joined an IIT but had cancelled their admission will not be considered eligible for re-admission through JEE Advanced 2019. This will hold true whether or not they continued the programme or had simply accepted the seat by reporting at the centre.
