i also wanted to ask u abt thylakoid membrane coz its not in our ncert bk, can u plz tell me hoe it works???
why the rate of photosynthesis is so low in both higher and lower concentration of co2??
Co2 concentration affects the rate of photosynthesis because CO2 reacts with water to form O2 and glucose, so without enough CO2, the rate of photosynthesis will reduce accordingly.
Each thylakoid is covered by the thylakoid membrane or grana lamellae, containing ultramicroscopic units called quantosomes, giving granular appearance to the thylakoid.
The thylakoid membrane is the site of the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis with the photosynthetic pigments embedded directly in the membrane. It is an alternating pattern of dark and light bands.
The thylakoid membrane surrounds the thylakoid lumen. It plays a vital role for photophosphorylation during photosynthesis. During the light-dependent reaction, protons are pumped across the thylakoid membrane into the lumen
