why is the colour of sky in mars red?

No.

It's due to dust particles scattering the sun rays.

There is oxygen on mars but locked up in iron oxide.

The surface red color comes from various oxides of iron (hematite mostly) in very, very fine particles, and trace amounts of other elements including titanium, chlorine and sulfur.
