         WHY ARE ER CALLED AS THE "EXPORT HOUSE OF THE CELL"

ER is responsible for quick intracellular transport.

Number of enzyme required by the cell are present in ER.

The enzyme and proteins required by the cell are translocated into the cytoplasm by the ER.

However golgi bodies are given the term export house of the cell since

they secrete and deliver different polysaccharides, lipids and other biomolecules to different parts of the cells.
