Wilting is the loss of turgidity in plant tissue where the intake of water is insufficient to replace that lost by transpiration or other means, causing a deflation of the plant cells.

The roots of the plant absorb the water from the soil and this water is then transported to different parts of the plant including the leaves through xylem. Once the leaves get the required amount of water, it gets back its turgidity and recovers.
