What is the difference between areolar connective tissue and Adipose connective tissue?

Areolar tissue

Adipose tissue



The cells of areolar tissue are of several types such as fibroblasts, mast cells, plasma cells and macrophage

The cells of adipose tissue are similar and are called adipocytes.



It is found between skin and muscles, around blood vessels and nerves and in the bone marrow

It is found below the skin and between internal organs



It fills space inside organs and supports internal organs.

It acts as fat reservoir and insulator of heat.
