We write the elecronic configuration of Calcium as 2,8,8,2 and not 2,8,10 but as the atomic nos. increases we start following the 2nsquare formula and hence atomic no. of copper is written as 2,8,18,1. why explain appropriate reason and example

According to second point of bohr burry scheme ,in the outermost shell there shoud  not be more tthan 8 electrons possible.and in the case of calcium the outermost shell contains 10 electrons so it is incorrect electronic configuration, while in case of Copper the outermost shell contains only 1 electron. so it is correctelectronic configuration.
