FlemingÂ’s left hand rule:
Significance: FlemingÂ’s left hand rule can be applied to find the direction of the thrust on a conductor carrying a current in a magnetic field.
The rule is as follows:
The left hand is held such that the thumb, index finger and middle finger are mutually at right angles to each other.
The index finger represents the direction of the magnetic field. (North to South).
The middle finger represents the direction of the current.

The Thumb represents the direction of the Motion of the conductor.

FlemingÂ’s Right Hand Thumb Rule:

FlemingÂ’s Right Hand Rule is used to find the direction of the induced emf of a conductor moving in a magnetic field. This rule is also called the Generator rule.
The thumb, the first and the second fingers on the right hand are held so that they are at right angles to each other.

If the first finger points in the direction of the magnetic field and the thumb in the direction of the motion of the conductor then the second finger will point in the direction of the induced current in the conductor.

In the illustration IÂ’ve shown how current induced in the coil can be found using the Right Hand rule.
