Dear sir,

Kindly refer to page no. 31 of NCERT book on which it is said that

       anxn + an-1 xn-1 + + a1x+ a0

I understand the degree on x but I don't understand what it means by an , an-1

,a1 , a0   .

Kindly explain this by giving a numerical value to 'n'.

these values of 'a' are real constant which are assocaited with powers of x.

for example:

l e t space n equals 3 comma space t h e space p l o y n o m i a l space b e c o m e s space rightwards double arrow a subscript 3 x cubed plus a subscript 2 x squared plus a subscript 1 x space plus a subscript 0 space space w h i c h space i s space a space c u b i c space p o l y n i m i a l. b a s i c a l l y space t h e space v a l u e space o f space n space d e t e r m i n e s space t h e space d e g r e e space o f space t h e space p o l y n o m i a l.
