Answer : Given : the radius of its circumcircle is 3 cm and altitude drawn to the hypotenuse is 2 cm
To find : the area of a right angled triangle

Let ABC be a right angled triangle inside a circle having center O

Given, OA = OB = OC = 3 cm [OA, OB and OC be the radius of circle]

Let AD be the altitude drawn from the opposite vertex to the hypotenuse

=> AD = 2 cm

Since,triangle ABC is a right triangle right angled at A

therefore a circle can be drawn which passes through the vertices of triangle ABC (Angle in a semi-circle is 90)

Now area of triangle = (1/2) * base * height
= (1/2 ) *BC * AD
=  (1/2 ) *(OB+ OC )* AD
= (1/2 ) * (3+3) *2
= 6 cm2 Answer is the required area
