AN electric dipole is placed in uniform electric field. (i) Show that the net force acting on it is zero.

An electric dipole consists of both equal positive and  negative charge, separated by a distance. If they are place in an uniform electric field, one of them will have a force in one directiona nd the other will have the same force in other direction due to opposite charge.
Hence the total charge on the dipole will be zero.
