A constant force acts on an object of mass 10 kg for a duration of 5 seconds. It increases the velocity of the object from 54 km/h to 108 km/h. Find the magnitude of the applied force. Now if the force is applied for a duration of 8 seconds, what would be the final velocity?

F= ma
  =mx(v-u)/t
  =10 x(30-15)/5
  =30 N
if the force is applied for 8 sec let the final vel be v:
30=10x(v-15)/8
on solving:
v=39m/s
