1.a) Is it possible for an object to have mechanical energy if its momentum is zero?explain.

b) Is it possible for an object to have momentum even if its mechancial energy is zero?explain

Momentum of a body is zero when its velocity is zero. So even though the kinetic energy of the body is zero, the body may possess some potential energy. Thus, mechanical energy need not be zero, if the momentum is zero.
